MAKING waves while surfing the Internet may be taking its toll on body parts with increasing reports of repetitive strain injury (RSI).

.....flare-up in injuries appears to be attributed to the overuse of the hand-operated computer mouse to navigate through and between Net sites.

.......Once again, it is a growing concern with the popularity of the Internet and computer games, particularly with teenagers.

Symptoms of RSI, which also affects factory workers, include persistent pain in muscles, tendons and other soft tissues.
It is usually caused or aggravated by work and associated with repetitive or forceful movement and sustained or constrained postures.
